Second attempt Friday 21st October

Well as my two hour session detailing my outward journey from Shipham to Singapore decided to join several abortive Blog posts last year - I'm manfully pressing on -  hoping that at some stage they will return to my Hudl and meet up with subsequent posts!  Well you have to remain positive.......

My flight from Singapore to Perth was basically uneventful - I had an aisle seat (joy unlimited) a fair amount of turbulence but on the whole quite enjoyable - food very good for an Airline - Singapore Airlines are the best !

The window passenger was a delightful Chinese lady called Irene I do have a brief resume of her life history - and will happily recount this delightful story should any of my avid readers request same !

It was so fantastic to catch up with Vicky - we had a hour to sit and chat over a coffee whilst waiting for Sarah's flight to arrive from Brisbane ! Sarah was flying in for 9 days to take over from Kethrine to care for Dee.  Apparently when Vicky rocked up at the Airport the place was crawling with press photographers! Someone famous was about to arrive - sadly famous new signing athlete had arrived been "shot" interviewed and departed by the time I turned up !  Vicky is amazingly early for all appointments !
Once Sarah was retrieved we departed dignified and stately to find Vicky's car and drive back to Dee's home for our supper - an excellent Hans Chef take away ;-). Then back to No 7 and a very welcome bed. ;-) zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sadly Vicky is an incredibly early riser (no wonder she is so knackered .....

I have found this 7 days later - I'm going to post it before it toddles of on its own......

Day six !

As has happened before  - I have lovingly typed several blogs that have systematically disappeared into the lost blogs office. - maybe having joined up with my disfunctioal blogs of yesteryear! Who knows !?!

Well I have now been in Kinross for6 6 days !  I'm getting more confident in finding my around by car !  Last time I was in residence the furthest I went on my own was to my Sister's and the shops ! This time my nieces have suggested we meet at various places - and I've actually found the appointment meeting point and got there early - that's a first then !

Happily Dee is looking very well all things considered !  I'm getting to see her every day which is, after all, the object of the exercise!

Friday evening Susie (a friend from working days) arrived at Perth Domestic at 10.30pm with her 7 month baby girl Dora - how brave is that to fly single handed for 5 hours with a little one !  Suffice it to say she is adorable ! However Milly - Vicky's little Maltese cross dish cloth - stated to behave very strangely - OK more strangely than normal !   Milly was intensely interested in the baby - we thought initially she was jealous but no, in her own strange little canine mind, it triggered a very maternal response and she's in the throws of a phantom pregnancy and lactating poor little love, she has decided that a stuffed cuddley toy bird is her baby and tries to feed it, she's making nests in the settee and will NOT allow Jack (the special needs Cocker Spaniel ) access to any part of her life or personal space - she's insisting on a Jack free zone !  Poor Jack, he is certainly lacking vital brain cells but there is not a single nasty bone in his body!  He's quite useless but very loving ! We know several examples of that .......

Suffice it to saw Vicky has taken Milly to thevVet, beating in mind her age (and other issues too numerous to mention here) the outcome is for her to be spayed on Thursday!  Whether that will cure the immediate oroblem, we'll wait and see but it will halt any infection that might raise its ugly head in the future!

Poor littlecDora was very unsettled all day - she had woken three times during the night,  consequently Susie was shattered !  I looked after Dora for an hour or so whilst Susie had a bit of a lie in ! little Dora just became more distressed as the day progressed, eventually sleeping in the car as we drive to Burns Beach !  Susie and I  had intended to take Dora for a lovely long cliff top walk in the borrowed push chair/stroller!  Vicky and K had tried to fold the stroller up to get it in the boot of the car! They had downloaded instructions from Google - sadly Google didn't have instructions for this particular model!  After all  the benefactor/owner of said vehicle - Nigel - whose daughter Skye is now six years old -  in this consumerist age renders this particular perfectly workable item - old and obsolete!   Well Susie was not to be beaten ! She too Googled said alliance with similar results !  Unfortunately I was hold Dora - who was becoming increasingly heavy - otherwise I would have videos the whole very funny if frustrating experience!

However by the time we reached our destination Dora was sound asleep!  Susie walked some of the cliff top park whilst I just happily sat in the car and watched the ocean! How therapeutic was that!  Susie returned with photos and the determination to find Graham her husband a job in Perth ! To be able to live so close to the perfect beach would be her vision of heaven!

We then drove to Dee's had. A lovely lunch (Dora still sound asleep. In the car seat - car parked in the car port in the shade with all car windows open and Sarah (my lovely niece) checking on her regularly!

Dora awoke, happy for a while and then started to cry again! Really so distressing for all concerned as she is quite the most even tempered little soul !  A visit to the chemist for a pain relief for her we think she is teething and all that goes with that !  Thankfully after the prescribed dosage and an incredibly noisy drive home Dora fell asleep just as we pulled into the drive !

An aside !whilst Dora and I waited in the car for Susie to get the medication from the pharmacy - windows wide open Dora screaming blue murder - a very concerned lady came over to see what the problem was!  I'm thankful she didn't accuse me of child cruelty !!!!!

On reaching home - determined to use the pushchair we reassembled it - we had managed to get the "chair" part off the wheels - we took Dora, Jack and Milly for a walk round the block ! Jack has got to be probably one of the most badly behaved dog on a lead I have ever had the misfortune to walk !

Susie and Dora's return flight to Sydney was at 11.30pm ! Vicky is absolutely cream crackers so I said i would drive our aviators to the airport with the aid of the sat back!

I was a tad concerned because it's very easy to get lost in the road works around the airport !  Well the sat Nov was absolutely brilliant it took us a much nicer route that was quicker - result !

Home in bed text to my long suffering husband and most probably sound asleep before 10.15pm!
